Folse Powers TU over South Carolina Beaufort

BLUFFTON, S.C. – Thomas University's Kayla Folse netted two goals in the 3-2 win over the University of South Carolina Beaufort on Saturday at Fin Land Field.

The women's soccer team went to 6-8, 5-2 in The Sun Conference, while the Sand Sharks went to 7-7-2, 3-3-2 in TSC. The Night Hawks return home for a noon matchup against Johnson and Wales on Thursday for the annual breast cancer awareness game.

Kayla Folse scored the first goal of the game in the 41st minute off a pass from Milene Anstett that got behind the back line of the USCB defense.

Hayley Pina knotted the game at 1-1 in the 57th minute off a pass from NJ Orduna.

Olivia Taylor gave the Night Hawks a 2-1 lead in the 60th minute off a free kick from the left side. Folse scored the game winner in the four minutes later off a pass from Taylor.

Pina ended the scoring in the 81st minute when Hanna Crist served the ball into the 18-yard box that Pina finished.

Kara Houston collected three saves in goal for the Night Hawks.
