Southeastern Ends TU’s Undefeated Season

LAKELAND, Fla. – Southeastern University (Fla.) handed the No. 4 Thomas University men's soccer team its first loss of the season, 2-0, on Saturday.

The Night Hawks went to 11-1-1, 5-1-0 in The Sun Conference, while the Fire went to 4-8-0, 1-2-0 in TSC. TU remains on the road for a neutral site game against Georgia Gwinnett 6 p.m. Tuesday in Columbus, Ga.

Tauan Salgado netted the game winning goal in the 61st minute with an assist from Luke Marchesani. Jonathan Jimenez added an insurance goal in the 81st minute off a pass from Salgado.

Lee Howarth collected three saves in goal for the Night Hawks.
