TU Takes Down Ave Maria 5-0

AVE MARIA, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Thomas University men's soccer team cruised past Ave Maria 5-0 Thursday at the AMU Soccer Field. Jarrod Ingram recorded his second hat trick of the season in the game.

The Night Hawks improved to 11-0-1, 5-0-0 in The Sun Conference, while the Gyrenes fell to 1-8-0, 0-4-0 in TSC. TU takes on Southeastern University (Fla.) 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Lakeland, Fla.

Ingram netted the first goal of the game in the in the 12th minute with an assist from Antonio Rodriguez. Jonathan Lopez extended the TU lead in the 21st minute off a pass from Ingram.

Ingram completed the hat trick with goals in the 22nd and 35th minutes. The Night Hawks took a 4-0 lead into the locker room.

Andres Payne completed the scoring in the 51st minute with an assist from Severin Abt.

Lee Howarth recorded one save in shutout win for the Night Hawks.
