WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Thomas University men's swimming team opened their 2015-2016 campaign on the road today falling in dual action against NCAA Division II opponent Rollins College 126-50.
The Tars won eight of the meet's 10 events over the Night Hawks.
Junior
Igor Dos Santos turned in the best individual performance of the day for Thomas capturing the meet title in the 50 yard free (21.99). As a group, the men's 200 yard freestyle relay team, consisting of
Trey Kidd,
Logan O'Byrne,
Dakota O'Byrne, and
James Lemaire, placed first finishing the race in 1:40.28.
Tan Dang also turned in a solid performance for Thomas finishing second in the 100 yard butterfly (54.49).
The Night Hawks return to the pool on Friday, Oct. 30 when they host their 1st Annual Swim-a-thon. The meet will take place at the YMCA Remington Park Swimming pool at 9:00 a.m.
