Averie Sheppard is the Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Thomas University. Sheppard is a former Night Hawk student athlete and was a four-year starter for the softball team. Sheppard graduated with a degree in sport and exercise science in May 2024, and is currently pursuing her Masters of Business Administration.Throughout her tenure at Thomas University, Sheppard has contributed to the community through extensive service hours and served as a student assistant in the sports information department for three years.
Averie's athletic prowess is evident in her achievements as a Night Hawk softball team member. She has consistently demonstrated excellence on the field with two SUN Conference All-Conference team honors, two SUN Conference Softball Player of the Week titles, one SSAC All-Conference team honor, and a Golden Glove accolade. In her junior and senior seasons, Sheppard led the Night Hawks in various categories, including batting average, hits, runs, triples, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, and stolen bases.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Averie has excelled academically, maintaining an impressive 3.82 GPA. Her commitment to education is further highlighted by her consistent inclusion on the President's or Dean's List in every completed semester at Thomas University. Recognized for her academic dedication, Averie is a proud member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society.
