Jorge Herranz

Jorge Herranz enters his second season as a Thomas University athletic assistant men´s soccer coach in 2018.

Prior to joining the Night Hawks, Herranz served as an assistant coach with the Fredericksburg (Va.) FC, head coach of the Richmond (Va.) Strickers U9 club, assistant coach of A.D. Alcorcón U16 club in Madrid, Spain, and head coach of Las Rozas C.F U12 club in Madrid, Spain. 
 
Herranz holds a UEFA A Coaching License.

Herranz played for the Portland Timbers U23 squad in 2016. He also spent one season with the A.D Alcorcon (Spanish Third Division) in 2013-14, four seasons with Las Rozas CF from 2009-13 and two seasons with Atletico de Madrid from 2007-09.

In college, Herranz spent three seasons (2014-16) at Virginia Commonwealth University and was named to the A-10 All-Championship Team in 2015 and 2016. 

A native of Madrid, Spain, Herranz earned a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in business and sport science from Virginia Commonwealth in 2016. He is pursuing a Master's of Business Administration at Thomas.
