Chris Seay

Chris Seay joins the Thomas University football staff after serving two seasons as an assistant coach for the Night Hawks Women's Flag Football team.  As a coach with Flag Football, he helped guide Thomas to two consecutive Sun Conference titles and two consecutive finishes as the NAIA Runner Up.  During Seay's two seasons as an assistant coach, the Night Hawks had six first team All-Sun Conference selections, and the 2022 Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Kiana Acol, and the 2022 Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Brittney Delva.  With Seay as her assistant, Head Coach Chelsea Parmer was named Coach of the Year in the Sun Conference in 2022 and 2023.

Prior to coming to Thomas, Seay coached at the high school ranks, coaching football, basketball, and track.  On the gridiron, Seay was on the sidelines at Americus-Sumter (3 years), Lee County (3 years), Brookwood (3 years) and Thomas County Central (1 year).  

Chris is originally from Americus, GA.  He is a 2003 graduate of St. Ambrose University with a B.S. in physical education.  Seay had four-year professional football career in the Arena Football League:  Quad City Steamwheelers (2004-2005), Peoria Pirates (2005-2006), Chicago Rush (2006-2007).

Seay has spent ten years as a GHSA varsity football official.  He is the founder of Thomas County Stars Academy and Tville Elite 7v7 football, which is youth sports and mentoring program.  Chris is married to Kizzy Seay and has two daughters: Jamilah Johnson and Anaya Johnson.
