Neiko Megrichian enters his third season at Thomas University in the 2026-2027 year and his fifth year coaching collegiate baseball overall.
A 2022 graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College, Megrichian began his coaching career with the Richmond Jazz of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, serving as the team's Pitching Coach and First Base Coach during the summer of 2022. He then joined TU in the fall of 2022 as a Pitching Graduate Assistant, where he spent a full season helping develop the program's pitching staff.
Following his time at TU, Megrichian moved to the NCAA Division I level in the fall of 2023, accepting the role of Director of Player Development at Virginia Military Institute (VMI), a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon). During his tenure, he contributed to the development of several standout players, including MLB Draft selections Holden Wilkerson (Toronto Blue Jays Organization) and Will Riley (Seattle Mariners Organization).
Megrichian returned to Thomas University in the fall of 2024 as the program's full-time Pitching Coach. Since taking over the pitching staff, he has helped foster a culture of development and competitiveness on the mound. In 2026, the Night Hawks saw immediate recognition for their growth as pitcher Isaac Padilla earned SSAC Freshman of the Year honors and Ian Vickers was named SSAC Newcomer of the Year.
Under Megrichian's guidance, the 2026 pitching staff posted a 5.41 overall ERA and a 4.98 conference ERA while limiting opponents to a .265 batting average overall and a .254 batting average in conference play. The staff also recorded a 1.62 overall WHIP and a 1.50 conference WHIP.
