Michael Skelly is in his fifth year with Thomas University in 2021-22, and second as the pitching coach for the Night Hawks.
He served one year as an assistant coach at Andrew College (GA) and helped guide the Tigers to the GCAA Tournament in 2017. Skelly was an assistant coach for the New Market Rebels of the Valley Baseball League (VBL) in the summer of 2017. The following summer, he was an assistant for the Hoptown Hoppers of the Ohio Valley League where his team won the Western Division and finished as the league’s runner-up. Skelly returned to the VBL in 2019, this time with the Strasburg Express. His team once again won a divisional championship and finished second in the league.
Skelly played collegiately at Anderson University (S.C.) where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2016. In his last two seasons as a Trojan, he appeared in 39 games as a pitcher.
A native of Pendleton, S.C., Skelly and his wife, Katherine, resides in Thomasville, Ga.
