THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Thomas University Athletics is proud to announce a partnership with Sickle Cell Foundation INC., furthering its commitment to the health, safety, and well-being of its student-athletes.
Through this collaboration, representatives from the Sickle Cell Foundation will visit campus to provide free sickle cell trait screenings for TU student-athletes. The screenings will help support student-athlete health and safety while increasing awareness and education about sickle cell trait status.
By providing this service at no cost, the Sickle Cell Foundation is eliminating what would otherwise be an expense of approximately $5 per student-athlete.
The partnership reflects Thomas University Athletics' ongoing efforts to provide the highest level of care and support for its student-athletes, both on and off the field.
