MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Baseball Players of the Week. Isaac Padilla of Thomas was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week. The awards are for the week of March 30 – April 5.

Isaac Padilla was a force on the mound, pitching eight scoreless innings, allowing only three hits, a walk and striking out eight against a Faulkner lineup that featured six players hitting over .300. He didn't allow a runner past second base through his outing. He posted an impressive 0.50 WHIP during the outing with a .115 batting average against to shut out the Eagles for the first time this season. His effort also helped the Night Hawks earn the first conference clean sweep (not counting forfeits)  of Faulkner at Harrison Field in 17 years.
