THOMASVILLE, Ga. –The Night Hawks faced off against the Life Running Eagles in a key divisional matchup in the SSAC East on Thursday night in the TU Gym.
Life came out swinging in the first half, jumping out on a 14-6 run early, Thomas began to respond but The Running Eagles ripped off four threes in a row to maintain the lead and keep the lead throughout the game. The Night Hawks made a run in the second half, with 6:37 to go
Noah Lattin made a tough layup in traffic and
Jailin Lee weaved his way through the defense for a layup of his own.
Joshua Robertson made a couple deep threes in a row to bring the deficit down as well. The efforts of Lattin, Lee and Robertson resulted in sparking a 21-1 run for the Night Hawks to end the game.
Robertson finished with a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists, while Lee led the Night Hawks in scoring with 17. Lattin finished with 14 points, going perfect from the charity stripe and added in three rebounds, a block and a steal.
The Night Hawks will be on the road next week where they will face SSAC east leader Dalton State on Thursday January 16
th at 7:00PM
