BABSON PARK, FLÂ | The Night Hawks were poised for game one of their doubleheader against the #12 Webber International Warriors, eager to extend their impressive eight-game winning streak and take the series. Both teams fought hard the night before in an extra innings battle, which the Night Hawks walked away victorious, 5 - 4, in eleven innings.
GAME ONE
In the early stages of game one, the Night Hawks took the lead with a solo home run by
JT Whatley, giving Thomas University a 1-0 advantage after the second inning. However, the Warriors quickly responded in the bottom of the fourth inning, leveling the score with an RBI single. In the fifth inning, The Night Hawks would respond and gain the lead right back after a go-ahead home run from
Gabe Tafelski. The run gave Thomas a 2 - 1 lead. Wydra's solid performance on the mound effectively shut down the Warriors from the fifth through the seventh innings, securing a 2-1 victory for the Night Hawks NINTH consecutive victory.

RHP
AJ Wydra got the start, in game one of the doubleheader, and went the full 7.0 innings, allowing eight hits, one run, and one strikeout. Junior
JT Whatley went 1-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run in the top of the second inning. Sophomore
Gabe Tafelski went 3-for-3 at the plate with a single, a double, and a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to lead the Night Hawks over the Warriors.
GAME TWO
The Night Hawks wrapped up a three-game series Saturday night, dropping game three by a score of 10 - 3, to the #12 Webber International Warriors. Thomas University won the overall series as they took games one and two.

Webber would get the scoring started early in the first three innings as the Warriors scored one run in the first, two runs in the second, and seven runs in the third, to jump out to an early 10 - 0 lead. The Night Hawks would get on the scoreboard in the top of the third inning after
Turner Maddox grounded a ball to second base to score
Riley Borgert. In the top of the fifth inning, Thomas would get two more runs as
JT Whatley and
Trey Larkin both had RBI singles to cut the lead to 10 - 3, those would be the only runs of the game for the Night Hawks.

Jacob Pino got the start for the Night Hawks in game two of the doubleheader, pitching 2.2 innings and added two strikeouts to his resume.
Jaxon Smith came in to relieve, in the bottom of the second inning, and threw 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing no runs and only two hits. Â
JT Whatley,
Turner Maddox, and
Trey Larkin led the offense for the Night Hawks, as they each had an RBI single. The Night Hawks collected a total of seven hits, but were only able to plate three runs. Â
JT Whatley would go 2-for-4 at the plate, with two singles and an RBI. The Night Hawks would leave eleven runners on base in the contest.

The Night Hawks finished the weekend 2 - 1, winning the series against a Top 25 program, bringing their record to an impressive 9 - 1 to start the season.Â
