THOMASVILLE, Ga. - Thomas (5-6-2, 4-4 SSAC) dominates the Brewton-Parker Barons (1-13-1, 0-6 SSAC) on Saturday afternoon at the TU Soccer Complex.
On a day where ten seniors were being honored two of those ten got the scoring started in the 28th as
Cameron Hawkins connected with
Connor Parry for a goal to put the Night Hawks up 1-0 in the first half.
Camilo Penafiel received a pass from Parry that put him one on one with the Barons goalkeeper, where he delivered on a strike to increase the lead to 2-0 heading into the half.
In the second half the goal score scoring calmed down until the 65th minute,
Stanley Hooker delivered a deep pass to senior
James Hall who sent a perfect cross to fellow senior
Findlay Cook who sent it in on a beautiful header putting the Night Hawks up by three. Two minutes later, Penafiel continued his excellent day with another blazing goal which was set up masterfully by another senior;
Santiago Viel. The final goal however, belonged to senior as well, as
Diego Sanchez timed a cross from
Edward Sack to put the cherry on top of a 5-0 victory.
After the game, the ten seniors were honored; Captain
Alex Ruane,
Herman Algesson,
Yusuf Razzaq,
Kieran McCombe, along with Cook, Hall, Hawkins, Parry, Sanchez, and Viel.
The Night Hawks will be back in action on Tuesday, October 22 at 1:00 PM at the TU Soccer Complex against Blue Mountain University.
