Men and Women cross-country participants from Thomas University competed at the 50th Annual FSU XC Invite at Appalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, FL. The meet featured runners from collegiate levels of the NCAA along with NJCAA competitors. Of the approximately 25 men's and 25 women's programs, Thomas had the only competitors representing an NAIA school.
The men competed in an 8000 meter race. Of the representative that the Night Hawks sent,
Justin Tomison had the best performance at 26:48.3, good for 126th place, and an improvement of 17 seconds over his time from 2022, on the same course.Â
Landon Watts ran a 28:10.8, an improvement of 46 seconds over last season.Â
Emmanuel Tovar -Negrete  ran 31:41.9. Â
The Night Hawks women representatives ran a 5000 meter race.Â
Cassandra Richards crossed the line at 20:59.4, improving her time by 39 seconds over last season. Twin sister,
Victoria Richards competed the course in 23:56.3.
The Night Hawks will next travel to Mississippi on October 13 to compete in the Watson Cross Country Classic in Clinton, MS.
