THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Thomas University Head Coach Scott Gowan has announced the 2026 men's and women's cross country schedules, featuring four regular-season meets across Georgia and Florida before the Night Hawks compete for a conference championship on Nov. 6 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Thomas opens the season on Sept. 4 at the VSU Border Clash in Valdosta, Georgia, competing at Freedom Park. The women will run a 5k at 7 p.m. EST, and the men will run a 7.25k at 6:20 p.m. EST
The Night Hawks head to Tallahassee, Florida on Sept. 18 for the FSU Pre-Regional hosted by Florida State University at Apalachee Regional Park before heading back to the same venue on Oct. 9 for the FSU XC Invitational. For both meets the women will run a 5k with an 8:20 a.m EST start time and the men will run an 8k course starting at 7:40 a.m. EST
Thomas caps their regular season campaign with a trip to Lake City, Florida on Oct. 16 to run the Alligator Lake Park course for the FGC XC Invitational. The women will run a 5k at 8:30 a.m. EST and the men will run an 8k at 9 a.m. EST
Thomas will compete in the 2026 SSAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Nov. 6, in Jackson, Mississippi at the Choctaw Trails course. The men will race first at 8:30 a.m. CST with the award ceremony to follow. The women's race will begin at 9:30 am CST with the awards presented at the conclusion of the race.
