The Thomas University Night Hawks lost their season opening match, against Bethel University of Tennessee, 1-0, in a neutral site match, held in Cochran, Ga. at Middle Georgia State University. The Night Hawks gave up the game deciding goal in the 89th minute of the contest. Â
The battle saw Bethel with four shots-on-goal and Thomas with seven shots on goal.Â

Pearl Mortimer accounted for the Night Hawks shots-on-goal.Â
Hannah Keene played all 90 minutes and had three saves on four attempts-on-goal. Â
Thomas travels to Alabama this week, as they take on NCAA Division III opponent Huntingdon College (Montgomery, AL) on Wednesday, followed by Talladega College (Talladega, AL) on Thursday. Talladega is makeing the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II. Â
