Thomas Baseball splits their doubleheader against Warner today, with the victory coming in game one. Â In both games, TU had an equal number of runs and hits, collecting 12 each in first game and seven in the second. Â The Night Hawks won the opening game of the day 12-9, before losing the later contest, 17-7. Â
Game One
Matthew Delay, Jr led off the game with his second home run in three games.  Warner answered with five runs in the bottom of the frame. Â
Bradley Fleenor and
Jose Class, Jr led off the 2nd inning with a single and walk, respectively. Â After two Night Hawks were retired, Thomas plated two runs with a tow-out rally, as as
Matt Williams and Delay walked, with the latter leading to a run scored by Fleenor. Â
Khadin Bastain was hit by a pitch, with the bases load, to collect the RBI as Class scored, with Thomas trailing 5-3.
After Thomas gave up three runs in the 4th inning, Thomas answered with three runs of their own in the 5th inning. Â
Cam Williams hit his third home run of the season to lead off the inning. Â
Michael Sowers and Class also scored in the inning. Â After Warner's final run in the 5th inning, to increase the Thomas deficit to 9-6, TU answered with five runs in the top of the 6th inning, to take their first lead, 11-9. Â

Jeremy Santiago, Class and Fleenor scored in the inning, with the key hit being a three RBI triple by
Michael Sowers. Â Class scored on a Sowers sacrifice fly in the 8th inning to close out the scoring.
Game Two
The Night Hawks continued their hot hitting to open the second game of the day, scoring five runs in the top of the 1st inning. Â Delay singled and later scored to start the game. Â Jose Class then hit a two run homerun, driving in Bastain and himself. Â
Jean Pool Checo and Sowers closed out the scoring in the inning to put Thomas ahead 5-0, after one-half inning.  TU gave up seven run in the bottom half of the inning. Â
Hunter Kern scored in the 2nd inning on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to 7-6. Â
Thomas gave up three runs each in the 3rd inning and two runs in the 6th inning.  Fleenor would hit a double to drive in
Cam Williams, who walked to lead off the 8th inning to close out the scoring for the Night Hawks. Â Warner would tack on an additional five runs in the 8th inning to complete the game. Â
Thomas will play NCAA Division II Albany State on Wednesday at Varnedoe Stadium at 5pm. Â
