Night Hawks Fall to the Fire

Night Hawks Fall to the Fire

Thomasville, Ga- Thomas (0-2, 0-0) University Night Hawks hosted Southeastern (2-1, 0-0) Fire Monday evening.

In the first half, the Fire would build a 13 point lead to go into the half 32-19. Thomas would struggle from the field (23%) and behind the arch (15%) in the first half. Even with the struggles, the Night Hawks proved they had some fight left.

Entering the third quarter, Thomas knew they were going to have to play a better half, and they did. In the third quarter, both teams would score 16 points. Thomas was able to connect on 3 three pointers as well.

In the fourth quarter, Thomas would make one more run of their own. However, Southeastern would continue to control the game even though they lost the quarter by one, 16-15. At the end of regulation, Southeastern would take the win, 63-51.

Sheridan Green would record 19 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Dejah Wilson recorded 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The Night Hawks shot 31% from the field and 21% from behind the arc, while hitting only 73% of their free throws.

The Night Hawks will continue their three game home stand, on Monday, as they face the Fire from Southeastern University.  Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at the TU Gymnasium.  For up-to-date information on this game and other TU Athletics, visit http://www.TUNightHawks.com.
