Lakeland, FL | The Southeastern Fire jumped on Thomas early, and were able to defeat the Night Hawks 34-20, on Saturday night. Thomas spotted Southeastern 20 points in the 1st quarter, before outscoring their opponent the remainder of the game, 20-14.
Southeastern would take the opening possession of the game and drive 52 yards for the opening touchdown. After a Thomas punt on their first possession, the Fire would block a Thomas punt, recovering on the 1-yard line. The Fire would score two plays later, to increase the score to 14-0. The Fire would start another drive in Thomas territory, and take advantage of the opportunity and score their third touchdown, but miss the PAT, to raise the score to 20-0.
Thomas' first opportunity to score would be via a field goal, but the attempt was blocked. The Night Hawks would finally get on teh scoreboard at the end of the 2nd quarter, with a 14-play, 80 yard drive.

Braxton Crawford PAT) to cut the halftime lead to 20-7.
Southeastern would score again, in the 3rd quarter, to widen their lead to 27-7. In the 4th quarter, Thomas would take 4:11 to cover 59 yards, for a touchdown.
Jaylen White would rush for the touchdown (PAT failed).
Another touchdown by Southeastern would put the game out of reach, for the Night Hawks. A blocked punt, by
Raheim McBride, and recovered by McBride, in the end zone, would give Thomas a late touchdown (Crawford PAT), to make the final score respectable.
On the day,
Charles Britt would complete 11/22 passes for 106 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while adding 67 yards rushing, on 16 attempts.
Brandon Denmark led the Night Hawks in catches with four.
Nehemiah Mack led the Night Hawks in tackles with eight, while
Ronnie Davis added seven, and
Adrian Traylor contributed six.
