BABSON PARK, Fla. – Despite a double-double from
Mohammed Abubakar, the Thomas University men's basketball team lost, 84-77, to Webber International University Saturday at the Sabbagh Athletic Center.

Abubakar recorded 20 points from 7-of-11 shooting and hitting 6-of-7 at the line, and added 11 rebounds for the Night Hawks. This is this third double-double of the season.

Thomas held a 1-point halftime lead, but was outscored 50-42 in the second half to take the loss. Thomas tied the game at 39 with 16:07 remaining, but never held the lead in the second stanza.

TU, which is receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches Poll, falls to 12-3 overall and 6-1 in the Sun Conference.

Keon Williams drained four from long distance, his second consecutive game with four made 3-pointers.
Jarvis Brown added a trio of treys on his way to 19 points.

Jordan Booker continued to dish out assists, recording seven handouts, his 13th game with four or more assists.

Thomas next hosts College of Coastal Georgia in Sun Conference action next Saturday at 4 p.m. in the TU Gymnasium.
