WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Thomas University women's basketball team held a seven-point halftime lead, but ultimately fell, 64-57, to Keiser University in Sun Conference action Monday at the Student Life Center.

Thomas jumped out to a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter, then each team scored 15 in the second quarter to give TU the halftime edge. Keiser came out attacking in the third quarter, tying the game at 43 with 3:37 left to play in the period. TU held a 49-48 lead heading into the final 10 minutes. Thomas went ahead, 51-48, but consecutive jumpers by Keiser gave the Seahawks the 52-51 edge with 6:09 remaining. Keiser would not relinquish its lead, taking the 64-57 victory.

Thomas made 19 buckets on 13 assists, led by six handouts from
Mahogany Menefee and five from
Lenise Santiago. Santiago notched a team high 18 points and Menefee scored 13.

The Night Hawks hit nine shots from long distance, as Santiago and
Sierra Bell each drained a trio and Menefee had a pair.

Dejah Wilson led the Night Hawks with nine rebounds, added to her three steals and eight points.
Jade Studamire grabbed eight boards and had six points, a steal and an assist.

Thomas falls to 0-11 overall and 0-5 in Sun Conference action.

The Night Hawks next host Columbia International University on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. in the TU Gymnasium.
