THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's basketball team defeated Trinity Baptist College, 73-57, Tuesday night at the TU Gymnasium.

TU hit the first bucket of the game, but Trinity Baptist led until
Corey Fulton hit a FT with 11:24 left in the first half. TU went ahead by five at the 10-minute mark, but TBC went on a run and led by seven with 2:44 left in the period. TU never regained the lead in the first stanza, trailing 31-29 at the break.

Just five minutes into the second half, Thomas took the lead on a charity shot by
Jarvis Brown and never relinquished the lead, taking the 73-57 victory.

Tim Williamson led all scorers with 16 points, including a 6-of-7 performance at the line. He also added a team high nine boards as well as three assists.
Jordan Booker filled his stat line with seven points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals.

The TU defense forced Trinity Baptist into 20 turnovers and held TBC to 34.5 percent (20-58) shooting from the field and 26.3 percent (5-19) from long range.

With the win, Thomas improves to 6-2 on the season while TBC drops to 2-5.

Thomas returns to Sun Conference action next week, hosting Florida Memorial University Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and St. Thomas University Dec. 3 at 4 p.m., both at the TU Gymnasium.
