THOMASVILLE, GA- The Thomas University Men's Soccer team had a huge day that included smiles for Senior Day and a huge win against RV Southeastern University on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Fire (9-4-3, 4,2-1) was able to get on the board first, but it did not take long for Thomas (7-5-5, 4-2-2) to answer back with a goal from Sophomore Connor Parry in the 12th minute. Senior Cavan Daley notched the next goal with an assist from Senior Khafri Jamison in the 15th minute. Connor Parry continued his scoring fest in the 25th minute to help retain the Green and Whites' lead heading into the half.

 

Entering in the second half, Connor Parry secured the hat trick with an assist from Graduate Joao Pedro Vinah in the 49th minute of play to notch a 3 goal lead for TU. Eventually, the Fire remained calm and tried to find an answer but came up short as time continued to wind down. Additionally, TU made a huge statement with one final goal from Cavan Daley with an assist from Sophomore Alex Ruane to end the match on a high note. 

 

Overall, the Fire ended with nine shots with four on goal and two corner kicks. Thomas dominated the statistical categories with thirteen shots and five on goal. TU also ended the match with three saves and corner kicks. 

 

WHAT'S NEXT: Thomas will have an entire week to rest and recover for the Quarterfinal round of the SUN Conference Championship, which will take place next Saturday.
