THOMASVILLE, GA — The Thomas University Men's soccer program lost its second consecutive game on Wednesday, falling 3-1 to the Badgers of Spring Hill College.
The highly anticipated game started on schedule, as Thomas struggled going forward due to a strong Spring Hill backline that held the Night Hawks attack to five shots throughout the contest. On the offensive end, the Badgers found success firing 14 shots in total, with three finding their way into the net.
Thomas' lone goal of the contest came in the 82nd minute when Senior midfielder JP Vinha found his first goal of the season courtesy of an assist from Freshman forward Regan McLaren.
Defenders Lucas Morales and Nicola Monelli played the entire contest alongside goalkeeper Stephen Douglas. TU rotated 19 players in the contest with most started seeing a max of 70 minutes. The Freshman keeper tallied five saves in his first start as a Night Hawk.
Up next, Night Hawk conference play begins this Saturday in Thomasville at the TU Soccer Complex to face St. Thomas University. Kickoff is set for 1 PM.
