THOMASVILLE, Ga — In June 2021, Jazmine Washington was promoted to Assistant Athletic Trainer after previously spending the last two years as an Athletic Assistant for TU Athletics. At TU, Washington will assist Head Athletic Trainer Daniel Parker in all facets of TU Athletics.
Prior to joining Thomas University full-time, Washington served as a graduate assistant for the Night Hawks from Summer 2019 to Spring 2021. As a graduate student, she split her time working with women's soccer, cross country, track, baseball, softball, and both basketball teams.
During her undergraduate years, while also serving as a student athletic trainer at Valdosta State University working with the softball and football programs in 2017, Washington worked locally with Valdosta High School Athletics (Spring 2018), and Valdosta Orthopedic Associates (Fall 2018).
Washington earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Valdosta State University (2019), before receiving her Master of Business Administration from Thomas University in May of 2021.
Washington is a certified American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED instructor and a current BLS Provider through the American Heart Association. She has also received her level 1 certification in Functional Movement Systems.
The Gray, Ga native is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), Southeastern Athletic Training Association (SEATA) and Georgia Athletic Training Association (GATA). She is licensed by the Georgia Board of Athletics Trainers and is certified by the NATA and licensed by the Board of Certification as an Athletic Trainer.
