THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's basketball season took an unexpected turn Tuesday, as the team found out a player from Faulkner's team tested positive for COVID when TU played them Sunday in Montgomery, Ala. Consequently, due to precautions, the Lady Night Hawks' The Sun Conference contests with St. Thomas and Florida Memorial this weekend have been cancelled and will not be made up.
Next up for the Lady Night Hawks is a third game against Warner University on February 18 in Lake Wales, Fla., with a scheduled tipoff time of 5:30 p.m.
As for TU's Men's basketball team, Head Coach T.J. Rines announced Tuesday evening that the games against the Bobcats and Lions will have new tipoff times: Thomas will now start at 6 p.m. Thursday against St. Thomas, as the contest against Florida Memorial has been moved up to 2 p.m.
