Third Time the Charm? TU Heads to Webber Searching for Victory

Angelo Pontello | Sports Information Director | @apontello44

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's basketball team will travel back to Babson Park, Fla. Tuesday to face Webber International in hopes to salvage a win in The Sun Conference play.

TU (1-12, 1-12 TSC) kept up with Keiser last Thursday before the Seahawks took off with the lead in the 4th Period, but Saturday's loss to Ave Maria may have been the most disheartening game yet for the Lady Night Hawks, as Thomas had a lead as large as 15 points before the Gyrenes came back and narrowly escaped with a 62-60 win.  Now, the Hunter Green & White will look forward to its road trip to Babson Park as a potential rebounding point to its season.

In the previous two meetings with the Warriors (13-5, 9-4 TSC), the Lady Night Hawks began both contests keeping Webber in check; it was 13-12 at the end of one quarter in the season opener while the last match showed the Warriors only leading by five points at halftime.

Thomas can hurt Webber's chances of another win if they limit their turnovers and hold strong possession of the ball.  While the Warriors won 69-58 in the previous meeting, the team had 18 steals and forced 26 turnovers.

Tipoff at the Sabbagh Athletic Center is set for 5:30 p.m.  Fans can follow the live action by clicking the links below:
