Night Hawks Travel in Search of a North Georgia Win

Nick Pope | Sports Information Assistant

THOMASVILLE, GA - The Thomas University women's basketball will take one final trip of the semester Tuesday, as the Night Hawks travel to Northeast Georgia for a non-conference contest against the Bears from Truett McConnell.

Tuesday's matchup will be a chance to split the series set at one apiece, as the Bears narrowly beat the Night Hawks 78-64 on October 28th.

Since then, both teams are nearing the halfway mark in the 2021-22 season, with the Bears sitting at 6-5 (4-5 AAC), while the Night Hawks sit at 1-9 (1-4 SUN).

The weekday matchup will be an opportunity to prepare for 2022 conference play, as both teams will see a two week break over the holiday from conference play.

For the Night Hawks, the non-conference competitions couldn't come at a better time as TU has now lost nine of their last ten matches. Additionally, the Night Hawks will look to use the rematch as a chance to find the team's first road win of the season.

On the other side of the court, the Bears have won two of their last three, outscoring their opponents by an average of eleven points.

Tipoff at Benjamin F. Brady Arena is set for 5:30 p.m.
