THOMASVILLE, GA — The Thomas University women's basketball team is scheduled to play its final home game of the 2021 calendar year Saturday, Dec. 11th, against Faulkner University.
The Night Hawks (1-8, 1-4 SUN) are looking to get back on track after dropping a pair of away games in their last road trip to Miami Gardens, Fla. Senior Dyani Sheppard and Graduate Student Destiny Reed have both shown their veteran leadership as of late, averaging a combined 20 points per contest.
After early season successes, the Faulkner Eagles (6-6, 0-2 SSAC) have struggled recently, losing five of their last seven games. Most recently, the Faulkner narrowly lost 76-81 to the RV Tornadoes from Talladega College.
Faulkner is led by Redshirt Freshman Morgan Holland averaging 16.1 points per game.
TU is still searching for its first program win over the Eagles, as FLK controls the overall series lead 6-0 after defeating Thomas 88-37 earlier in November.
Saturday's contest is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. tipoff.
