Box Score

THOMASVILLE, GA — The Thomas University women's basketball team suffered a tough 100-31 loss against Kennesaw State University Tuesday night.

The Owls (1-0) controlled the game from tipoff, immediately jumping out to a 12-0 lead before Freshman Jaleigh Miller tallied the first point for the Night Hawks (0-3). Miller led the way for Thomas, scoring ten points and going 5-7 from the free throw line.

In the end, the swarming Owl defense came out with a level of intensity the Night Hawks have not yet faced this season, as KSU forced 43 turnovers resulting in 55 points. One bright spot from contest was the amount of bench support the Night Hawks received, as the TU bench scored 22 of the 31 points in the exhibition contest.

Up next, the Night Hawks will open conference play on Thursday, as the Seahawks from Keiser University visit the Rose City for a double-header at TU Gymnasium.

Tipoff for the women's contest is set for 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's at 7:30 p.m.
