THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's basketball team will continue its search for its second win of the season Saturday afternoon, as the Lady Night Hawks take on Ave Maria University in The Sun Conference action.
TU (1-11, 1-11 TSC) had several chances to pull off a potential upset over Keiser in West Palm Beach, Fla. last time out, but ineffective shooting ultimately led to a 65-48 Lady Night Hawks' defeat Thursday. Senior Forward
Destiny Reed comes off a double-double performance (11 points, 10 boards), shooting 50% from the field.
Ave Maria (4-12, 1-8 TSC) rides a six-game losing streak, looking for the team's first home win of the season. The Allen twins (Taylor and Megan) continue to be the heart and soul of the Gyrenes. Taylor currently averages 49.3% from the field and 13.9 points a game (sixth-best mark in TSC), as well as lead the team in steals (2.29). Megan is AMU's rebound leader, averaging 6.4 a game.
The Gyrenes defeated Thomas 58-48 on December 3rd earlier this season.
