THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's basketball team travel to Lake Wales Saturday to take on the Royals of Warner University in The Sun Conference play.

Thomas (1-6, 1-6 TSC) comes off a thrilling 69-64 win over Coastal Georgia, evening the regular-season series.  The Hunter Green & White has seen moderate improvements on the offensive side since the turn of the year, putting up its two best Field Goal Percentages of the season (40% against Florida Memorial and 38.7% last time out).  TU has also seen gradual gains from outside the arc, coming off back–to-back performances of 40% or better.

Senior Guard
Alexis Powell comes off a perfect 3-for-3 performance long-range, and will look to lead TU's scoring charge.  Sophomore Guard Amayla Sharif is another player Night Hawk nation should watch on Saturday.  In just two games, the Chester, Pa. native has averaged nine points, shooting 40% from the field.  Senior Guard
Alisha Clayton will look to build off her double-double from Thursday night.  The P.K. Yonge product has now shot a combined 60% from the field in the last three meetings and currently ranks second in the conference in average boards a game (10.2).

Warner (5-10, 0-8 TSC) is riding a four-game skid entering Saturday's contest against the Lady Night Hawks, but do not let this Royals' team fool you.  Despite an 84-61 loss last time out, WU had its best field performance of the season, shooting 48.9%, including 44.4% long-range.  The Royals' offensive attack is led by D'Asia James, coming off a 15-point performance shooting 58.3% from the field.  Hailey Gantt will be a force in the paint, averaging 1.5 blocks a game while boasting the conference's best boards per game average (11.1).

For the fourth time this season, TU will face an incoming top-notch 3-Pt. offense that is ranked in the conference's top three prior to game time, as Warner's 3=Pt. percentage is currently tied for first in TSC (31.1%).  Rebounding will also play a role in Saturday's contest, as Warner will have two of the top four rebounders in the conference in Gantt and James, who averages eight and a half boards.
