HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Three Thomas University Night Hawks finished in the top 25 of the Carey Collegiate Classic, held at Canebrake Country Club Monday and Tuesday.
Joe Bannan led the way with his fifth-place, 1-under 143. Bannan carded a 71 on Monday and an even 72 on Tuesday.
Sam Ledbury improved eight positions from the first round, also posting a 72 on the second day to tie for 16th at 75-72 – 147.
Carl Rosenholm tied for 23rd with his 76-74 – 150.
Chad Tracy (T40) carded a 78-76 – 154 and
Dylan Miranda (T55) posted a 15-over 81-78 – 159.
Thomas shaved six strokes off of its first round score, posting a 294 on Tuesday for a fifth place, 18-over, 594 in the event. Missouri Valley College won the Classic with a 2-under 292-286 – 578.
The Night Hawks next compete in the Brenau & TMU Spring Invitational held at the Chattahoochee Golf Course in Gainesville, Ga., March 16-17.
