Gabrielle Jester netted 20 points, hitting five 3-pointers, in Thomas University's 86-58 loss to Florida Memorial University Saturday at the FMU Wellness Center.
Jester hit 5-of-9 shots from long range, and was 7-of-12 overall from the field. She also hit her only free throw attempt. Jester added five assists, two rebounds and two steals in 39 minutes.
Emiah Downie was just one board shy of a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds, along with four assists.
Alisha Clayton also grabbed nine rebounds while
Alexis Powell drained a trio of treys.
Thomas held a two-point lead at the half, 35-33, but FMU outscored TU 34-12 in the third quarter, then 19-11 in the fourth period.
Thomas falls to 3-16 overall and 1-14 in the Sun Conference while FMU improves to 13-13, 8-8.
The Night Hawks are on the road Feb. 20 to face Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla., then host Webber International University Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. in the TU Gymnasium for the final game of the regular season.
