THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University's Women's basketball team will have one more chance Tuesday evening to tab a win in The Sun Conference before 2020 closes out, as the Lady Night Hawks take on #7 Southeastern University.
 
TU (0-4, 0-4 TSC) has been plagued with injuries, as the Lady Night Hawks saw only six players dressed out in its last two games.  Despite the limited depth, Thomas only allowed an average of 63 points given up, and kept both games to within ten points.  On the offensive side, Senior Forward Destiny Reed is coming off a career-high 24 Points, shooting 60% from the field.  Overall, Reed is third in TSC in Field Goal Percentage on the season (52.5%). 
 
#7 Southeastern (5-2, 4-0 TSC) heads into town with the conference's best scoring margin (14.14), however the confines of TU Gymnasium have given Thomas' opponents scoring troubles: Coastal Georgia's 3-Point offense was held to under 29% while Ave Maria was held to under 15% long range.  While the Fire have struggled from long range, shooting 29.6%, SEU boasts TSC's best Field Goal Percentage (44.4%).  Sophomore Hailey Howarth leads the Fire in Points per Game (14.1), while three others average double-digits in scoring.  SEU's lead stealer, Junior Bekki Kalaydjiev, ranks third in Steals per Game (3.14).
 
While Southeastern has the upper hand in shooting from the field, TU can limit the Fire's opportunities while creating extra chances through turnovers; SEU averages the conference's second-highest turnover average a game (20.2).
