HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Thomas University freshman goalkeeper
Jordin Sanchez made eight saves in the Night Hawks' 1-0 loss to No. 1 William Carey University Saturday afternoon.
Thomas was outshot 18-4 overall and 9-0 on goal in the matchup against the top team in the country.
Jana Pastorek attempted two shots and
Jen Clyde and
Hadas Prawer each had one.
William Carey scored at 47:29 to take the 1-0 win.
The Night Hawks return to the TU Soccer Complex Sept. 21 to face RV Middle Georgia State University at noon, then open Sun Conference play Sept. 25 against Webber International (Fla.) at 1 p.m. in Thomasville.
