Box Score 2 THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University softball team fell in Saturday's doubleheader against No. 20 Truett-McConnell, 1-0 and 10-3, Saturday afternoon at Armory Field.
Thomas returns to Armory Field Feb. 11 to face Brewton-Parker College. The doubleheader begins at 1 p.m.
Game One
Starting pitcher
Margarita Sena, who struck out three in 5.0 innings, was tagged with the loss after allowing one run from three hits and four walks.
In the top of the first, Truett-McConnell drew a pair of walks, then a double plated the Bears' first and only run of the game.
In the bottom of the third, the Night Hawks threatened to score as
Gaby Mora drew a leadoff walk, stole second and moved to third on a sac bunt, but a strikeout and a pop up ended the inning for TU.
Thomas' lone hit came in the bottom of the sixth, when
Corryne Diaz doubled to left center, but TU was unable to move her around.
