COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Thomas University women's swimming team competed in four finals races Thursday evening at the 39th Annual Women's Swimming and Diving National Championship at the Columbus Aquatic Center.

Senior
Kiana Ocasio-Molina placed eighth in the A finals of the 200 yard individual medley, touching the wall at 2:10.94 and sophomore
Maggie Davis finished at 5:17.79 to place 16th in B finals of the 500 yard freestyle.

TU's 400 yard medley relay team of freshman
Chardonay Tophia, Molina, Davis and senior
Jamie Haught took 12th in B finals with a time of 4:04.37, three seconds faster than their preliminary time of 4:07.39.

In the 200 yard freestyle relay, Tophia, Molina, freshman
Marilena Kalaitzis and Haught finished with a time of 1:42.20 to take 16th in the B final.

The NAIA Championship will continue Friday, March 1, with the third day of competition. Â Prelims are slated to begin at 9 a.m. EST, while finals will start at 5 p.m. EST. Â
