KENNESAW, Ga. – The Thomas University women's basketball team opened the 2019-20 season with an exhibition game against Kennesaw State University Sunday afternoon at the KSU Convocation Center.
The Night Hawks fell, 77-41, to the NCAA Division I team. KSU took the 14-10 lead after the first quarter, then held the 46-20 edge at the half. TU was outscored 31-21 in the second half to take the loss.
Samantha Gilbert led the Night Hawks offensively with 10 points, along with two assists.
Jewel Montisano drained a trio of 3-pointers and
Caprice Brown grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Night Hawks have another exhibition game Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. at Jacksonville before opening the regular season at Carver College in Atlanta Nov. 12 at 4 p.m.
