PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Thomas University's
Joshua Scott scored 21 points in the Night Hawks' 89-68 loss to Lindsey Wilson University (Ky.) Friday in the Battle at the Beach.
Scott was 7-of-14 from the field, knocking down a trio of threes and draining all four of his free throws. Scott added five rebounds, three assists and a steal for TU (3-6) against LWU (7-2).
The Night Hawks fell behind, 42-29, in the first stanza, then were outscored 47-39 in the second period.
Quante Smith also grabbed five rebounds and blocked two shots, while
Deiontre Morrow dished out three assists and scored four points.
Eight Night Hawks scored 43 of TU's bench points, led by
Tristan Harris' nine points from three treys.
Thomas recorded a season-high 13 assists and had a season-low nine turnovers. TU hit 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the line for the second time this season.
Thomas is back in action tomorrow at the Battle of the Beach.
