THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Senior
Samantha Gilbert scored 21 points in Thomas University's 83-55 loss to the College of Coastal Georgia Saturday at the TU Gymnasium.
Gilbert was 8-of-17 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line while grabbing a pair of rebounds and swiping two steals for Thomas (0-3, 0-1 Sun Conference).
Coastal Georgia took a 5-point lead after the first quarter, then outscored Thomas 45-24 over the next two quarter to extend its lead and earn the 83-55 win.
Alisha Clayton and
Destiny Reed each pulled down six rebounds to lead the Night Hawks.
Thomas continues its three-game Sun Conference homestand on Nov. 21 against Ave Maria at 5:30 p.m., then hosts Southeastern (Fla.) Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.
