Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | THOMASVILLE, Ga.

TU Downs FMU, 7-0, on Senior Day

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's soccer team defeated Florida Memorial University, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at the TU Soccer Complex. 

For senior day, TU honored 15 Night Hawks playing in their final home match. 

Thomas netted three goals in the first period and four in the second to take the 7-0 win. 

The Night Hawks (7-8, 4-3) are tied for sixth in the Sun Conference with two matches to play. 

On Saturday, seniors led the way offensively in the win, as Selwyn Slotegraaf scored a pair of goals for TU, Rene Rivera netted a goal and recorded an assist, and Gavin Rochford-Smith tallied three assists. 

Fellow seniors Jack Chambers, Sam Eyes and Shemuel Wilson each scored a goal and Henry Jones and Ian Ward both assisted a goal. 

Senior goalkeeper Brandon Krambeck made two saves in 90 minutes. 

Sophomore Cavan Daley added one goal and one assist for the Night Hawks. 

Thomas is back in action Oct. 30 against No. 9 Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla., then face Johnson & Wales Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. in North Miami Beach, Fla., to end the regular season.
