LAKE WALES, Fla. – No. 14 Thomas University men's golf shot a final round 280, 12 strokes better than any other team, to win the 26th Annual Webber Fall Invitational held at Lake Wales Country Club.
TU was second on Monday after the first two rounds, posting a first round 287, followed by a second round 294. Then on Tuesday, the Night Hawks carded an 8-under 280 for an 861 three-round total. St. Thomas University was second with an 868.

Joe Bannan earned runner up honors after tying with Alberto Uriach (Webber International) with a three-round 212 and forcing a playoff. Bannan came up short in the four-hole playoff to take second place. After both players hit even-par on the par 4 18th hole twice, and then on the par 4 17th hole once, the pair moved back to the 18th hole, where a miss by Bannan gave Uriach the victory at 1-over par on the hole.
Sam Ledbury was two strokes behind and tied for third with his 74-72-68 – 214.
Dylan Miranda and
Chad Tracy carded matching scores on three straight rounds – 71-75-72 – to post a seventh place 218.
Rory Henderson shot a 223 to place 15th.
Playing as individuals,
Harry O'Garra recorded a 234, Tom Lawrence posted a 238 and
Carl Rosenholm shot a 240.
This is the final event of the fall season. TU's spring schedule will be announced early in 2020.
