THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's basketball team hit 48.0 percent of its shots from the field to down St. Thomas University, 70-62, Thursday night at the TU Gymnasium.
The Night Hawks hit 24-of-50 shots to improve to 10-10 overall and 6-6 in the Sun Conference. St. Thomas falls to 7-12, 6-5.
Four Night Hawks scored in double figures, led by
Joshua Scott (13),
Trint Bryant (11),
Kadeem Webb (10) and
Cedric Wright (10).
Shaquille Holley grabbed a team high seven rebounds.
Thomas outrebounded the Bobcats 42-28, as 10 Night Hawks grabbed multiple rebounds.
TU owned a three-point, 33-30, lead at the half, then extended its margin with a 37-32 second stanza.
Sean Kostyk drained a 3-pointer at 13:18 to give Thomas the 11-9 lead, and the Night Hawks never trailed again in the game.
Thomas returns to the TU Gymnasium Jan. 26 at 4 p.m. to face Florida Memorial University.
