NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Thomas University fell, 66-61, to Johnson & Wales University Thursday night at the Wildcat Center.
Cedric Wright netted 15 points to lead the Night Hawks, and added eight rebounds, an assist and a block.
Joshua Scott was one rebound shy of a double double, scoring 14 points and grabbing nine rebounds, while dishing out two assists and recording steal.
Brandon Kostyk drained a pair of threes on his way to six points.
Thomas outrebounded JWU 44-30, and TU scored 32 points in the paint, to the Wildcats' 10.
After leading 33-27 at the half, JWU outscored Thomas 39-28 in the second stanza to take the victory. Thomas falls to 9-9 overall and 5-5 in the Sun Conference, while Johnson & Wales is now 2-15, 2-8.
The Night Hawks next face Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla., Jan. 19 at 4 p.m.
