BRUNSWICK, Ga. –
Kriza Allen netted 25 points and eight rebounds in Thomas University's 73-57 loss to the College of Coastal Georgia Tuesday night in the first round of The Sun Conference Championship Tournament presented by Olympus Insurance.
Allen knocked down eight shots from the field and connected on nine free throws for TU. Her 25 points are the second-highest output of the season, only behind 27 points against Life University on Dec. 16.
Thomas ends the season 9-16 overall and 5-13 in the league. TU earned the sixth seed in the conference tournament.
The Night Hawks led, 19-18, after the first quarter, but only scored five points in the second, trailing 33-24 at the half. CCG would go on to outscore TU in the third, 22-18 and fourth 18-15 to take the 73-57 win.
Dymon Brown and
Jewel Montisano each knocked down a pair of shots from distance, scoring six and five points, respectively.
De'Audra Copeland and
Arianna Anderson each grabbed five boards.
