Night Hawks win thriller at #23 Warner 76-73

The Night Hawks and Royals have a habit of playing close games. Over the last fifteen months, Thomas University(11-11, 6-8)and Warner have played 5 times and the average  margin of victory for either team has been just over three points. Thursday night in Lake Wales was no different, with TU pulling out the 76-73 win. The victory gives the Night Hawks the regular season sweep over the Royals(16-9, 7-6), reversing the results from last season. The game was tied on 5 different occasions, and the lead changed 12 times, including 7 in the second half.
The Night Hawks led by as many as 7 with fifteen minutes left in the game behind the hot hand of JaVoris Cooks, who finished with a team high 19 points, including 5-9 from behind the arc. Katrell Myers scored 17 on the night, and Willie Holloway and D.J. Roulhac added 10 apiece. Cooks and Myers scored the last 13 points for the Night Hawks, with 8 of those from the charity stripe. Holloway garnered 6 rebounds, while Cooks and Jalen Bonds had 5 each. The Night Hawks out-rebounded the Royals 34-25, and shot  50% from long distance.
