MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Thomas University lost, 76-67, to Sun Conference foe St. Thomas University Saturday evening at the Fernandez Family Center.

Joshua Scott scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out two assists while junior
Dexter Hood added 19 points and nine rebounds for TU.
The Night Hawks outscored the Bobcats 20-12 in the paint and TU was 4-of-8 from long range in the first half.
Thomas led by one at the 14-minute mark of the first, then St. Thomas went on a 16-4 run to take an 11-point lead with eight minutes left in the half. The Night Hawks fought back to within one at the half, trailing 32-31.
Hood hit a layup to open the second half and give Thomas a 33-32 lead, but St. Thomas hit a jumper at 18:35 and never relinquished its lead the remainder of the game.
Thomas faces Brewton-Parker Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the TU Gymnasium, then hits the road for five games over the next month.
