Night Hawks Sweep Cumberland

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University softball team took both games of the double header against Cumberland University (Tenn.), 3-2 and 10-5, on Wednesday at Armory Field.

The Night Hawks improved to 20-5, while the Phoenix went to 9-7-1 on the year. TU starts conference play against Keiser University (Fla.) on Friday at 3 p.m. in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The Night Hawks stole 11 total bases on the day.

GAME ONE
 
Brittany Daniels went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI's, while Victoria Camina went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
 
Trinity Strickland threw six innings with two runs on three hits and struck out four, while Luana Imamura collected the save on one hit.

Kirindongo hit 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, while Alaynah Weiss went 2-for-4 with two RBI's and Gaby Mora went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Kelsey Connolly went 1-for-3 with three RBI's and a run scored, while Daniels hit 1-for-2 with three runs scored.
 
Ashley Sikes picked up the win with four runs on six hits and struck out two, while Imamura threw two innings with a run on three hits.
